Learning Objectives:

1. Participants will gain a clear understanding about the authority and duties of the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME).

2. Participants will come to view OCME as a resource to assist in properly certifying a death.

3. After this lecture, participants will have a better working knowledge of cases to refer to the OCME.

• The Maine Osteopathic Medical Association designates this program for a maximum of 1.0 AOA Category 1-A credits and will report CME and specialty credits commensurate with the extent of the physician’s participation in this activity.
