Presentation Title: Population Health and the Triple Aim +1: What’s the point?
Presentation Objectives: Following this lecture, the participant should be able to:
1. BE better able to define population health and why it is important to do so.
2. Understand the key elements of a Medicare Shared Savings Program (MSSP).
3. Have a better understanding as to how healthcare preferences vary with age.
The Maine Osteopathic Association is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians.The Maine Osteopathic Association designates this program for a maximum of 1.0 AOA Category 1-A credits and will report CME and specialty credits commensurate with the extent of the physician’s participation in this activity.
Dr. David A. Weed was born in Gardiner, Maine. He graduated from UNE COM in 1982 and completed rotating internship and internal medicine residency at Suncoast Osteopathic Hospital in 1985. He then completed a pulmonary/critical care fellowship at the University of Connecticut in 1987. Dr. Weed serves as Medical Director for 4 sleep laboratories-Northern Maine Medical Center, The Aroostook Medical Center, Houlton Regional Hospital, and Inland Hospital. He is currently practicing sleep disorders medicine at the Aroostook Medical Center, Presque Isle, Maine.
