William Badger, MD

Dr. Badger has been with Flagstaff Surgical Associates for 11 years and is passionate about giving exceptional medical care to the Northern Arizona Community. He moved to Flagstaff in 2009 and has over 18 years of medical experience. Dr. Badger is certified in urology by the American Board of Urology, he is a member of the American Urologic Association, and serves on multiple committees for Northern Arizona Healthcare.    

Dr. Badger attended medical school at Ohio State University where he graduated with honors and later completed his residency in Urology at Albany Medical Center. He completed a Fellowship at the University of Iowa in Endourology, Laparoscopy, and Robotics and was instrumental in bringing DaVinci Robotic Surgery to Flagstaff for minimally invasive urologic procedures. 

 

Dr. Badger stays up to date on the latest urologic research and uses state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment and advanced treatment techniques for a wide range of urologic issues. Dr. Badger treats most common urologic issues but has extensive experience in robotic-assisted radical prostatectomy (prostate removal), radical nephrectomy (kidney removal) and partial nephrectomy. He is a highly skilled surgeon and his expertise in minimally invasive and robotic surgeries can provide patients with minimal scarring and quicker recoveries from kidney and prostate diseases. 

Dr. Badger loves the adventure of high altitude living and spends a lot of time outside with his wife Sarah and their three daughters. He is an avid mountain biker and can be seen year-round riding his bike to work or hitting the trails in Flagstaff and Sedona. He is very involved in giving back to the community and founded the annual Free Men's Health event that partners with other medical practices in Flagstaff to provide free prostate exams, flu shots, biometric screenings, hearing tests, and more to men in the community.
