James P Walsh, MD, MD

Dr. Walsh graduated from Duke University School of Medicine in Durham, NC. He is chief of endocrinology at the Roudebush VA Medical Center in Indianapolis, IN, and an associate professor of medicine, biochemistry and molecular biology at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis. Dr. Walsh has a longstanding interest in lipid metabolism and has studied the roles of lipids in development of vascular complications of diabetes. He is the author of 21 papers on various aspects of lipid biochemistry. He currently conducts clinical trials of cardiovascular outcomes in patients with diabetes.

Dr. Walsh discloses that he has no relevant financial relationships with any organization producing, marketing, reselling or distributing health care goods or services consumed by, or used on, patients relative to the content of this presentation.
