Lateral CXR

The CXR is the most common imaging test ordered and often has 2 views, a frontal and a lateral projection. The lateral view is often not well understood and teaching of reading this view has its limitations. Over 10% of important clinical findings may be visualized on the lateral view and not be appreciated by viewing only the frontal projection.  An unique and readily learnable mnemonic method to interpret the lateral chest x-ray will be discussed.
