Are you comfortable discussing end of life issues with your patients? Dr. Myers shares how to have these types of conversations.

Educational Objectives:

  • Apply conversational strategies to goals of care discussion

  • Distinguish various members/roles or hospice care team

  • Outline multiple strategies to achieve goals of care

 

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the American Osteopathic Association (AOA). The Arizona Osteopathic Medical Association (AOMA) is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians.

Shelly Myers, DO

Shelly Myers, DO is a board-certified family medicine physician. She earned her B.S. at Northern Arizona University, completed medical school at Midwestern University Arizona College of Medicine, and finished her residency at Honor Health Osborn. She specializes in hospice and palliative care, currently working with Hospice of the Valley in Phoenix, Arizona. Dr. Myers leads an inpatient hospice unit and performs house calls to homebound hospice patients living in the community.
