Objectives: Attendees will be able to….

1. Recognize opportunities for HVC in management of COVID, bacteremia, newer ABX, and infection prevention

2. List two primary reasons why adjunctive therapy such as OMT should be further studied and included in the management of common and novel emerging infections

3. Recall at least three high value care strategies for managing infections according to the American Academy of Family Physicians, Society of Healthcare Epidemiologists of America, and the infectious Diseases Society of America

4. Summarize in one or two sentences the evidence base for OMT in infection management

5. Describe two strategies for overcoming barriers to using OMT in management of infections

• The Maine Osteopathic Association designates this program for a maximum of 1.0 AOA Category 1-A credits and will report CME and specialty credits commensurate with the extent of the physician’s participation in this activity.
