Description

Session will include a review of basic traditional Chinese medicine concepts with a focus on the use of auricular acupuncture and its mechanisms of efficacy.  Basic sequence protocols like Battlefield Acupuncture (BFA) will be discussed.  

Learning Objectives

  • Discuss the concepts and history of traditional Chinese medicine.
  • Describe auricular acupuncture and discern its proposed mechanisms of efficacy.
  • Review the current data, research and evidence that supports use of auricular acupuncture.

The NC Osteopathic Medical Association (NCOMA) is accredited by the American Osteopathic Medical Association to provide continuing medical education to physicians.  NCOMA designates this program for a maximum of 1 AOA Category 1-A credit and will report CME and specialty credits commensurate with the extent of the physician's participation in this activity.

Robert Agnello, DO Related seminars and products


Dr. Agnello, a native of New York, is a US Army Veteran who is board certified in family medicine and pain medicine with a focus in integrative and functional approaches. Also, he has been trained in medical acupuncture since 2015.  He is a graduate of the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and is currently employed with the Integrated Pain Management Clinic at the Womack Army Medical Center in Fort Bragg, NC.  Dr. Agnello is also an adjunct faculty member with the Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine where he teaches osteopathic manipulative medicine.  He has been on the Board of Trustees for NCS-ACOFP since 2014.
