Learning Objectives

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

1)  Understand how atopic dermatitis severely affects a patient’s quality of life.

2)  Understand how correct skin moisturization can bring rapid relief from dry skin and help patients with eczema.

3)  Understand the pathophysiology of atopic dermatitis and what triggers exacerbations.

4)  Understand newer medications and biologics to help control atopic dermatitis.

5)  Understand how to formulate a successful treatment plan for patients with atopic dermatitis.

Kenneth W Blumenthal, DO, DO Related Seminars and Products


Dr. Blumenthal graduated from Duke University in Durham, NC, and Midwestern University Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine (MWUCCOM) in Downers Grove, IL.  He has three offices in Northwest Indiana where his practice is limited to allergy, asthma, and immunology.  Dr. Blumenthal is a past president of the Porter County Medical Society and has received the President’s Award from the American Lung Association of Indiana.  Previously, he has been medical director of Camp SuperKids, which is a camp for children with asthma sponsored by the American Lung Association of Indiana. Dr. Blumenthal resides in Valparaiso with his wife, Jeanne, who is an attorney. They have two children and two grandchildren.
