Description

In recent years there have great strides in life-saving treatments for breast cancer. Dr. Brendan Curley reviews the current data from the American Society of Clinical Oncology and discusses how it translates to clinical practice. 

 

Educational Objectives:

  • Differentiate the role of adjuvant and neoadjuvant therapies in breast cancer and how to manage their side effects

  • Assess the new data presented by the American Society of Clinical Oncology and how it translates to clinical practice

  • Compare the changes in Her2/neu + and triple negative breast cancer treatment strategies and outcomes

Brendan Curley, DO, MPH graduated from Lake Erie College of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine residency at Drexel University in Philadelphia and his hematology/oncology fellowship at West Virginia University. Dr. Curley is published in multiple medline indexed journals, including Journal of Clinical Oncology and the Journal of Oncology Practice, and has written the chapter on Breast Cancer in the Bethesda Handbook of Clinical Oncology. Board certified in internal medicine and oncology, he practices in North Scottsdale with Arizona Center for Cancer Care (AZCCC) and sees patients for all oncology and hematology related problems.
