Pediatric Urgent Care


Dr. Whitney Herring serves as the Medical Director of the Pediatric Metabolic Clinic at MCAM. Dr. Herring received her Bachelor of Science degree in General Sciences and Pre-Med from Mississippi State University, her Masters of Public Health with a concentration in Epidemiology from the University of South Florida and her Medical Degree (M.D.) from the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Prior to joining MCAM, Dr. Herring has been leading a pediatric obesity program for the last two and a half years and practiced general pediatrics for three years prior to that. Dr. Herring is board certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics and board certified in obesity medicine by the American Board of Obesity Medicine. Dr. Herring will be working alongside a pediatric dietitian to help build the program at MCAM through a multi-disciplinary approach. She is passionate about providing the best possible care that will result in making a lasting impact on children and their families. Dr. Herring is a mom to three young children and enjoys exercising, eating good food, traveling, shopping and gardening.
