Dr. Staab currently works as a medical epidemiologist for Maricopa County Department of Public Health and serves as subject matter expert for the operations branch of the emergency response to COVID-19. Previously, he was medical director for the Bureau of Epidemiology and Disease Control at the Arizona Department of Health Services. He works clinically as a pediatric hospitalist at Phoenix Children’s Hospital. He has a master of science degree in public health microbiology and emerging infectious diseases from George Washington University and earned his medical doctorate from the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California. Dr. Staab is a native Phoenician and lives in Central Phoenix with his young family.
