Description

Mitral valve disease occurs when the mitral valve doesn’t work properly, allowing blood to flow backward into the left atrium. Dr. Alphonse Ambrosia discusses the diagnosis, treatment, and management of this condition.

Objectives:

  • Distinguish the diagnostic testing for mitral insufficiency
  • Evaluate the symptoms and progression of mitral valve disease
  • Assess the options for treatment of mitral insufficiency and mitral stenosis
