Dr. Michael Brown is a graduate of AT Still University - Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri. He completed a medical residency in Family and Community Medicine at Truman Medical Centers in Kansas City, Missouri. He currently works full-time for Meritas Health in Smithville, Missouri, where he practices Family Medicine. He is the former Assistant Chief Medical Informatics Officer and Medical Director of Telemedicine for Mosaic Life Care. He is board certified in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine and Clinical Informatics by the American Board of Preventative Medicine.

Dr. Brown was the first physician to begin providing direct-to-consumer telemedicine in Missouri. He built a team of providers who continue to give care remotely to patients throughout rural northwest Missouri. His interests include innovative ways to deliver health care to his patients and increasing physician satisfaction with electronic health records.

Dr. Brown lives in Smithville, Missouri, with his wife and seven children and continues his family tradition of beekeeping. He also enjoys photography and running, two beneficial skills for any beekeeper. Dr. Brown will be ending his term as President of MAOPS in the next month. His leadership during this challenging year in dealing with the pandemic has been instrumental as MAOPS switched its CME focus to virtual learning.

Jeff Davis, DO's Profile

Dr. Jeff Davis practices in Memphis, Missouri and is the Chief Medical Officer and Staff Family Medicine Physician for Scotland County Hospital. He keeps busy as Coroner for Scotland County, Staff Physician for Scotland County Care Center and Residential Care Facility, and Memphis Medical Services, a federally qualified hospital-based rural health clinic.

Dr. Davis has been providing well-woman, obstetrics, and adolescent care throughout his career and continues to deliver babies. Dr. Davis serves the profession passionately. He is a past president of the Missouri Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons and has served on every committee in the organization. He currently serves as the Education Co-Chair. He is a trustee and a delegate to the AOA.

Dr. Davis is a graduate of AT Still University Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri. He completed his residency at Southern Illinois University Quincy Family Practice in Quincy, Illinois. Dr. Davis is board certified in Family Medicine by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Medicine.

Steven Brushwood, DO, FAACP's Profile

Steven Brushwood, DO, is currently the President of the Missouri Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons, and is a member of the American Osteopathic Association and the American Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Brushwood is the Chief Medical Officer for Northwest Health Services, where he also serves as a family physician, and the Medical Director at Freudenthal Hospice in St. Joseph, MO. He is the owner of Gower Family Care Center in Gower, MO. A 1996 graduate of William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri and a 2000 graduate of the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Brushwood is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine with specialized certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine. Victoria Damba, DO, is an Independent Family Medicine Physician in Farmington, MO. She initially began her career in medicine as a nurse working in a hospital setting and outpatient physician clinic for several years before attending medical school. She graduated from Truman State University with a BS in Biology and in 1997 graduated from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her Internship at Des Peres Hospital and her Family Medicine Residency in Farmington, MO where she still lives and practices. Dr. Damba has served on most of the MAOPS committees and is a Past President of the organization.
