Learning Objectives:

  1. Understand the similarities and differences in current mammogram screening guidelines from professional organizations.   
  2. Examine the guidelines and implement individualized course of action for these patients.
  3. Interpret and communicate radiologic terminology into patient-directed care. 
  4. Generate a list of patient factors that will change risk stratification and therefore, the ongoing care of the patient and family.

Dr. Tiffany Lewis is board certified in Radiology by the American College of Radiology. She is also MQSA certified. She obtained her medical degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences – College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2009 and her MBA in Healthcare Leadership from Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Missouri. She completed her Diagnostic Radiology residency at Kansas University Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas, and her Breast Imaging fellowship at The Mayo Clinic, Scottsdale, Arizona, in 2015. During her fellowship at Mayo Clinic, her extensive experience was in obstetric imaging, 3D Tomosynthesis, breast MRI, contrast-enhanced mammography, and multimodality breast biopsy. She has broad experience in clinical research on breast imaging and has presented and written numerous publications.

"Breast imaging has a special place in my heart. My mother, mother-in-law, and three aunts are breast cancer survivors, and unfortunately, one of my aunts lost her battle with breast cancer. When breast cancer hits this close to home, you treat each of your patients like family."
