In 2016, Gov. Inslee asked the Washington State Legislature to address the opioid epidemic in WA State. In response, in 2017 the legislature passed a new law: ESHB 1427. Dr. Williamson will review the new rules, the process and current status and review current REMS: risk, evaluation and mitigation strategies required from the FDA.
