Behavioral Learning Objectives:

  • Gain knowledge of treatment guidelines for obesity
  • Understand that obesity is multi-factorial and treatment should be personalized.
  • Review importance of treatment of obesity with medications and/or surgical intervention.
  • Understand the metabolic adaptations that occur with weight loss
  • Use motivational interviewing to develop a lifestyle intervention plan
  • Expand provider’s ability to counsel a patient about nutrition and exercise

Stacy Chronister, DO Related Seminars and Products


Dr. Stacy Chronister is a native of Moore, OK and a graduate of Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Chronister was a recipient of an HPSP scholarship and following medical school, she served active-duty time in the United States Navy and completed her Internal Medicine Residency at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. Dr. Chronister achieved the rank of Lieutenant Commander and was awarded the Navy and Marine Achievement Medal.  Following her time in service, Dr. Chronister returned to Oklahoma and served the greater Tulsa community through outpatient Internal Medicine before joining Oklahoma State University as clinical faculty.  She became Board-certified in Obesity Medicine in 2019.  Dr. Chronister is currently a full-time medical educator within the Clinical Education Department at OSU-CHS.
