Description

This group of OMM physicians will share OMM techniques for common complaints.

 

Objectives:

  • Determine appropriate OMM techniques for common patient diagnoses

  • Demonstrate specific OMM techniques in patient treatment

  • Integrate into patient care the OMM techniques demonstrated

 

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the American Osteopathic Association (AOA). The Arizona Osteopathic Medical Association (AOMA) is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians.

Anthony Will, DO is Clinical Associate Professor, Department Chair of Osteopathic Medicine at Midwestern University Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine. A graduate of Midwestern University Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Will completed the first Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine (AZCOM) Scholarship Program. He completed a residency and internship at Midwestern University AZCOM and Mesa General Hospital. Dr. Will is board certified in Family Practice and Neuromuscularskeletal Medicine and OMM.

Dr. Richard Dobrusin, DO, MS (Ost), FACOFP is an associate clinical professor at Midwestern University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Board certified in family practice and osteopathic manipulative medicine, Dr. Dobrusin received his Doctor of Osteopathy from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and his Master of Science of Osteopathy from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, with specific focus in Thoracic Outlet Syndromes.

Gregory Hollick, DO, ABOFP, C-NMM/OMM earned his doctor of osteopathy from A.T. Still University, School of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona (ATSU-SOMA). He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Redlands in Southern California. Dr. Hollick completed a Family Medicine residency at Sierra Vista Regional Health Center, before completing his NMM/OMM residency at Midwestern University Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine where he was also a faculty member. He is board-certified in Family Medicine and Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine. Currently he is an Assistant Professor of OPP at ATSU-SOMA, and has developed a new OPP teaching app. Dr. Hollick has been invited to speak on various health and CME topics before numerous professional medical and community groups, including the University of Arizona Integrative Medicine Fellowship and internationally in Milan, Italy.  Before medical school, he worked as an EMT in California for three years.  Current areas of academic interest include physician burnout and use of technology for distance learning.

Shannon Scott, DO, FACOFP, is assistant dean and medical director at the Midwestern University Multispecialty Clinic in Glendale, Arizona. Dr. Scott is board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians (AOBFP) and the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM). She received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Midwestern University Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed the Ohio Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine Health Policy Fellowship in 2013. Dr. Scott was recently elected as the Third Vice President to the American Osteopathic Association Board of Trustees. She served as AOMA President in 2016-2017.
