  1. State how irritable bowel disease is defined and its diagnostic criteria
  2. Explain the pathophysiology including the etiology, epidemiology, and risk factors of irritable bowel disease
  3. Explain preventative measures to prevent occurrence and recurrence of irritable bowel disease 
  4. Explain the clinical manifestations and the physical examination findings of irritable bowel disease with particular emphasis on the musculoskeletal manifestations of irritable bowel disease
  5. Describe and Administer the osteopathic manipulative treatment approach to management of irritable bowel disease and discuss the treatment goals of the various types of techniques
