James F. Keane, DO, MEd was born and raised on the south side of Chicago. In 1994, Dr. Keane moved to Arizona to pursue a career in writing. He instead was drawn into the field of education and policy, at first working at Arizona State University and receiving a master’s degree in higher education. Dr. Keane later served on the research staff for the Arizona State Senate and then briefly as a lobbyist for Arizona’s cities and towns. An interest in traditional Chinese medicine, nutrition and other health related activities eventually led him to leave public policy to attend medical school. Dr. Keane graduated from Midwestern University Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed an internal medicine residency in Sierra Vista, Arizona. Since completing residency, he obtained a second certification in integrative holistic medicine and extensive training and experience in osteopathic manipulative treatment. Dr. Keane is the Medical Director at the A.T. Still University Osteopathic Medicine Center in Mesa, Arizona.
