Description

In this lecture, the attendee will learn about pelvic pain, and more specifically about endometriosis.  We will discuss the various causes of pelvic pain.  We will discuss the epidemiology of endometriosis, as well as theories of its pathophysiology.  We will learn what signs and symptoms are seen in women with endometriosis.  Finally, will discuss the most up to date medical and surgical treatments of endometriosis.   This lecture is a case-based discussion using various real life situations to help in the clinical identification and treatment of pelvic pain and endometriosis.

Dr. Sharon Cathcart graduated from CCOM. She is a board-certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist. She has worked at North Spokane Women’s Health for 30 years in Spokane, WA. She has always enjoyed going to the annual WOMA conference with her husband, Ken Cathcart, DO since we moved to Washington. We look forward to seeing people in the future face to face again, but glad to have the opportunity to do this virtual.
