Description

Coronary intervention, or angioplasty, has been in practice for 40 years. Dr. Alphonse Ambrosia reviews the current guidelines for determining the right treatment for each patient. 

 

Educational Objectives:

  • Distinguish the role of coronary imaging and physiology in percutaneous coronary interventions

  • Compare stent technology with bioabsorbable polymers

  • Differentiate bioabsorbable stent technology and its future role in percutaneous coronary interventions

 

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the American Osteopathic Association (AOA). The Arizona Osteopathic Medical Association (AOMA) is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians.

Board certified in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology, Dr. Ambrosia is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. He received his osteopathic medical degree from the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific.
