Accreditation Statements:
The Missouri Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons (MAOPS)  is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians. MAOPS designates this program for a maximum of 7 AOA Category 1-A credits and will report CME and specialty credits commensurate with the extent of the physician's participation.

The Missouri Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons (MAOPS) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Missouri Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons (MAOPS) designates this enduring activity for a maximum of 7 AMA PRA Category 1 Creditä.  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Dr. Katie Davenport-Kabonic is a graduate of the AT Still University Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (KCOM) in Kirksville, Missouri, where she graduated with honors. In 2012, she was selected as a MAOPS Wetzel Scholar. She completed her residency at Cox Family Medicine in Springfield, Missouri. She completed her Obstetrics fellowship at Cox Family Medicine in Springfield, Missouri. She currently serves Cox Health Family Medicine with Obstetrics as a Faculty Physician and is the SWMO AHEC – Springfield Director of Student Medical Education in Springfield, Missouri. Dr. Davenport-Kabonic is board certified in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine.

Dr. Davenport-Kabonic is an active member of the MAOPS Education and Convention Committee,the KCOM Curriculum Committee, the Lead Physician for the Walk With A Doc program, and recently obtained her Ozark Mountain Yoga RYS 200 certification.

Dr. David Goldman is a graduate of the University of Illinois and Washington University School of Law. He later earned his Doctor of Osteopathy degree at AT Still University Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (KCOM) in Kirksville, Missouri. Dr. Goldman completed his internship at the Kirksville Osteopathic Medical Center in Kirksville, Missouri, and his residency in Psychiatry at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. He also completed a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Vanderbilt. He is the Medical Director of The Goldman Group, LLC, a multi-disciplinary psychiatry/therapy group. Dr. Goldman is also the Medical Director of Mark Twain Behavioral Health in Hannibal, Missouri. Dr. Goldman serves as a Medicolegal Consultant and continues his private psychotherapy and psychopharmacology management practice. He serves as a Professor at Southern Illinois University Medical School in Springfield, Illinois, and KCOM in Kirksville, Missouri.

Dr. Goldman was the 2001 recipient of the Max Gutensohn Professor of the Year Award at KCOM and has been awarded the Order of Merlin Excalibur by the International Brotherhood of Magicians. Dr. Goldman is board certified in General Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He also is a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and the American College of Legal Medicine.

Dustin Higgins, DO's Profile

Dr. Dustin Higgins was born and raised in Gilbert, Arizona, a suburb of Phoenix. He is the seventh of nine children. He went to college at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, and then to medical school at Midwestern University in Downers Grove, Illinois. He was trained in Internal Medicine at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis and then completed a fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. He currently practices in Quincy, Illinois as the only Endocrinologist in his group. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He enjoys fishing and pond swimming with his wife and six boys.

Dr. Chris Wolf graduated from AT Still University Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine and went on to complete a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency with the University of Missouri, Columbia. He is board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and by the American Board of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation as well as subspecialty Board Certified in Brain Injury Medicine. Dr. Wolf is currently a partner in Bluetail Medical Group and works out of clinics throughout Missouri in Chesterfield, Columbia, and Farmington. Dr. Wolf previously served in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Missouri School of Medicine as an Associate Professor of Clinical Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr. Wolf is well known at MAOPS as he was a Wetzel Scholar for six years, is a MAOPS Board member, is currently the President-elect of MAOPS, and is a recipient of the prestigious MAOPS President’s Award for meritorious service.

Dr. Justin Puckett is dual board-certified in Osteopathic Family Medicine/OMT and Obesity Medicine by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians. He is a graduate of AT Still University Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri. He is a Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, the American Academy of Family Physicians, and the Obesity Medicine Association. Dr. Puckett is the Chief Medical Officer of Complete Family Medicine, a practice he founded and has grown to over 20 providers serving seven communities in Northeast Missouri. It is now a part of Hannibal Regional Healthcare System.

Dr. Puckett enjoys practicing full-spectrum Family Medicine and providing Obesity Medicine consults. He is active in the community serving on a variety of boards and advisory committees. He is an avid teacher, nearly always having a healthcare student working alongside him.

Dr. Puckett is also a weight loss patient himself, having lost 180 pounds in 2011. While the journey continues, he works hard to share his story and to encourage others, both providers and patients. He has worked at a national level to advocate against weight bias and received the prestigious Bias Buster Award from the Obesity Action Coalition for his effective advocacy.

Dr. Puckett is married to Kylene and has four children, ages 9-14. Together they are active in their faith community and enjoy traveling and exploring new places. He especially enjoys SCUBA diving with his two oldest sons and wife.

Paul Jones, DO, FAOCPMR's Profile

Dr. Paul Jones is currently working as a Physiatrist at Harry S Truman Veterans Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. He is also part of the teaching faculty in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Missouri, Columbia. Before enrolling in medical school, he was a physical therapist. After attending medical school at the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific (COMP), he did his internship at Pacific Hospital in Long Beach, California. Dr. Jones completed an Osteopathic Residency in Family Practice in Tucson, Arizona. He practiced for five years in the rural town of Centralia, Illinois. After this, he joined the faculty of the AT Still Univerity Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (KCOM) in the Department of Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine. He subsequently completed a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Missouri, Columbia. Dr. Jones returned to KCOM, where he was an Associate Professor. He then joined the VA Hospital in Columbia, Missouri, and has been there for the last 16 years.

Dr. Jones is board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians, by the American Osteopathic Board of Specialty Practicing in Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine, by the American Osteopathic Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and by the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine and has earned a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Pain by the American Osteopathic Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.  He has been one of several physicians who helped the development of the Conjoint Board for Certification in Pain Management, served on the Panel of Experts, and as Co-Chair of the Pain Medicine Examination Development Committee.  Dr. Jones has served as a board member of the American Osteopathic Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He is currently the chair of the Item Writing Committee for Pain Medicine Examination.
