The Pre-Participation Exam 2020 Update

Learning Objectives

  1. Recall how to administer a pre-participation exam for athletic participation.
  2. Describe the relevance of the PPE for the clearance of athletic participation.
  3. Identify special considerations needed for different populations.

The North Carolina Osteopathic Medical Association is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians and designates this program for a maximum of 1 AOA Category 1-A credits and will report CME and specialty credits commensurate with the extent of the physician's participation in this activity.

Dr. Wei is a Sports Medicine Fellow at Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine.  He completed Medical School at Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences and completed Family Medicine Residency at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton, NC where he was voted Family Medicine Resident of the Year.
