Description

In 2014, prostate cancer was the leading cause of newly diagnosed cancers in men and the second leading cause of cancer death in men. Dr. Dan Gilbert reviews the guidelines for PSA screenings and the current treatment options for prostate cancer.

 

Learning Objectives:

  • Differentiate PSA dynamics and its limitations

  • Develop strategies to appropriately identify  patients to screen for prostate cancer

  • Distinguish current treatment options for prostate cancer

Daniel Gilbert, D.O. Related Seminars and Products


Daniel Gilbert, DO is a native of Arizona, who grew up in Scottsdale and attended Chaparral High School. He obtained a degree in Kinesiology at the University of Colorado at Boulder and a doctorate in osteopathic medicine at Touro University California, where he served as Student Body President. Dr. Gilbert finished his general surgery and urologic surgery residency at Midwestern University in Downers Grove, Illinois. He has subsequently completed a fellowship in Robotic Urologic Surgery with one of the world’s most experienced robotic surgeons, Dr. Ronny Abaza in Dublin, Ohio. Board certified in urological surgery, he has been practicing as a robotic urologic surgeon and general urologist in Phoenix Arizona since 2014.
