MAT for Opioid Addiction with Buprenorphine-What, Why, Who and How
Despite the high mortality of Opioid Use Disorder most patients do not receive the most effective treatment. In this session, we will discuss the disease of opioid addiction, the role of office-based medical treatment, and the cultural barriers that have limited the availability and use of this effective treatment. We will discuss how Family Physicians can provide this valuable service to their patients.
