Brian Erickson, MD Discusses Topics in Pain and Opioid Prescribing. Participants will become familiar with:
* Options for opioids including abuse, deterrent formulations, and buprenorphine
* Learn about other Pharmacotherapies for chronic pain
* Become familiar with community resources for chronic pain
* Learn about MN Medical Cannabis program
Certification
Dr. Erickson is certified in pain medicine as well as psychiatry, with a qualification in psychosomatic medicine.
Education
Dr. Erickson received his undergraduate degree at Gustavus Adolphus College and completed his medical degree at the University of Minnesota School of Medicine. He completed his psychiatry residency at the University of Vermont.
Professional activities
Dr. Erickson is a member of the American Academy of Pain Medicine and the International Society for ECT and Neurostimulation. He also developed a multidisciplinary chronic pain program at St. Mary's Duluth Clinic.
