Sharon Vermont, MD is in practice at Mercy Clinic Pediatrics in Hazelwood.  She earned her medical degree from the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Medicine in 1993 and then completed a Pediatrics residency at Indiana University Medical Center.  Dr. Vermont also serves as medical advisor board of Transparent USA.  She is an accomplished writer, with a published article in the Washington Post and with chapters in five of the Chicken Soup for the Soul books.  Dr. Vermont is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and she discloses that she has no actual or potential conflict of interest in relation to this program or this presentation.
