Description

Depression is a highly prevalent psychiatric disorder that tends to be recurrent and chronic. Dr. Abigail Isakson discusses various treatment methods in lieu of prescription drugs. 

 

Learning objectives

• Categorize and prescribe nutritional supplements for depression that are evidence based 

• Recommend life-style modifications that are evidenced based for depression 

• Evaluate options available for brain/nerve stimulation for depression

Abigail Isakson, DO Related Seminars and Products


Abigail Isakson, DO is a board certified psychiatrist in private practice in Flagstaff, Arizona. She graduated from UC Santa Cruz with a bachelor’s in Biology.  Seeking deeper happiness and peace she spent a year at a Zen Center in Rochester New York in between college and medical school.  She attended The Oklahoma College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery and graduated in 1989.  She did a year of medicine at Doctor’s Hospital Montclair, a mixed DO and MD hospital.  Her residency was at The Menninger Clinic in Topeka, KS.  She has split her work between Community Mental Health Centers and private practice and currently is in private practice in Flagstaff, Arizona.  She enjoys skiing, hiking and hanging out with her 2 wonderful teenage children.
