Description

This program will expire and must be completed by 05/21/24.

Dr. Murray will discuss various urological cancers including prostate, bladder, kidney, and penile cancer.  She will explain PSA screening and the diagnosis, staging, and treatment options of each of these various cancers.

 Objectives:

  • Understand PSA screening, diagnosis of prostate cancer, treatment options
  • Recognize Bladder cancer staging and treatment options
  • Identify small renal masses and basic treatment options
  • Examine male genitalia and understand the potential for tumors and cancer treatment and prognosis

The Missouri Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons (MAOPS) is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians. MAOPS designates this program for a maximum of 1 AOA Category 1-A credits and will report CME and specialty credits commensurate with the extent of the physician's participation.

Dr. Katie Murray is a graduate of AT Still University, Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri. Following graduation, she completed her Urology residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas, and a fellowship in Urological Oncology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York. Dr. Murray is the Assistant Professor of Surgery for the University of Missouri, Department of Surgery, and the Medical Director of Urologic Oncology at Ellis Fischel Cancer Center, both in Columbia, Missouri. She is also the Assistant Professor of Surgery and Research Clinician for the University of Missouri School of Medicine. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Urology.

Dr. Murray is a member of several associations and a very active member of the Missouri Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons. She currently serves as the Education Chair for the Education and Convention Committee for the Missouri Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons.
