Session Objectives: 1. Describe the landscape of ENDS use locally and nationally, including patterns of use. 2.  Discuss the impact of these products on adolescents, adults and communities. 3. Share strategies that providers can incorporate into their settings and explore local and national treatment resources.

Bio:  Dr. Christopher Buttarazzi is a Maine resident and graduate of the Tufts University School of Medicine-Maine Medical Center “Maine Track” program in 2014.  He completed his Psychiatry Residency at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center in 2018, as well as his Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship in 2019.  Dr. Buttarazzi is now working as an Addiction Psychiatrist at Maine Behavioral Healthcare’s newly opened IMAT (Integrated Medication Assisted Treatment) Hub in South Portland; providing comprehensive, dual-diagnosis treatment for patients with opioid and other substance use disorders.  In addition, he also serving as Medical Director for the Center for Tobacco Independence.

Bio:  Victoria is the Program Manager for the Training and Education team at the MaineHealth Center for Tobacco Independence.  In this role, she oversees multiple efforts that seek to educate health professionals statewide about the burden of tobacco use, and increase opportunities for tobacco treatment and referral.  Prior to joining CTI in 2018, she was the Clinical Outreach and Implementation Clinician for the PRIDE program, a SAMHSA funded Primary and Behavioral Health Care Integration Grant, where she worked to coordinate primary care in the behavioral health setting.  Her experience also includes working with adolescents and their families, women experiencing homelessness and teaching in Selma, Alabama.
