Alan Whitters, MD, DFAPA
Alan C. Whitters, M.D., FAPA is a graduate of the University of Iowa, Carver College of Medicine in Iowa City, Iowa. He completed his medical and psychiatry residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. He is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He is a distinguished lifetime fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. Dr. Whitters practices at Cedar Rapids Psychiatry in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He is the medical director of the Behavioral Health Services and chief of psychiatry at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids. He is also an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor, Department of Psychiatry, at the University of Iowa.
