Amber D Hunt, DO, DO


Dr. Hunt is an assistant professor of child and adolescent psychiatry at the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, IN.  As a physician leader for the Changing Health Outcomes through Integrated Care Excellence (CHOICE) program, she collaborates with primary care physicians, psychologists, and social workers in providing integrated mental health care services to pediatric and adult patients in primary care clinics, primarily at Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis. Additionally, Dr. Hunt provides psychiatric consultative services to the Department of Child Services through the IU Psychotropic Consultation program. She also teaches third-year medical students and child and adolescent psychiatry fellows with IU who rotate through the CHOICE integrated care clinics. Dr. Hunt teaches didactics courses as well for the child and adolescent psychiatry fellows, specializing in the topic of gender-diverse and sexual minority youth. She is involved in the mentorship program for medical students at the Marian University College of Osteopathic Medicine (MUCOM) in Indianapolis.
