Andrea McBeth, ND

Andrea McBeth has a B.A. in Biochemistry from the University of San Diego. She has done research in various molecular basic sciences for 10+ years. She worked full-time as a research assistant in molecular biology at OHSU Knight Cancer Institute with a focus in bone marrow transplant and genetic engineering before pursuing her ND degree. She graduated from The National University of Natural Medicine(NUNM) with a doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine(ND) in 2017.
Throughout her education she has been passionate about helping people reduce suffering. Her path has led her to combine her love of basic science research with medicine in a way that is truly unique. She sees the human body and wellness through the lens of the microbiome. She looks at the connection of the gut's microbial ecosystem to the brain, immune system, our lifestyle choices and world we interact with. It provides an elegant mechanism of action for all of the beautiful tools nutrition and functional medicine has to offer.

Her company Flora Medicine is focused on providing access to care for antibiotic resistant Clostridium difficile infection using fecal transplant therapy to elderly patients in out of hospital settings in addition to a private clinical practice that focuses on functional GI.
