Anita Showalter, DO

Anita Showalter, DO, FACOOG (Dist) serves as the Associate Dean for Clinical Education and Associate Professor and Chief for Women’s Health at Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences in Yakima, Washington.  A graduate of Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine, she completed OB/GYN residency at Cuyahoga Falls Community Hospital, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio.  She was named a Distinguished Fellow by the American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians and Gynecologists and has served on their Board of Trustees and numerous committees.  She serves on the Board of Directors of the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners and the Board of Trustees of the Yakima County Medical Society.  Her current clinical practice is as an OB/GYN Hospitalist at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital.  It is her passion to teach sensitive care and proficient use of osteopathic principles in women’s health.
