Asif Zia, MD


Dr. Asif Zia, an internal medicine and infectious disease physician, has a strong interest in rare and unusual infectious diseases and improving the quality of primary care for patients. Prior to practicing at Lillington Medical Services, Dr. Zia practiced in Dunn, N.C.

Dr. Zia received his medical degree from Ahmadu Bello University in Nigeria as well as the University of Alabama School of Medicine. He received his Master’s in Public Health in Epidemiology at the University of Alabama, and completed his Residency at East Carolina University School of Medicine. He received his fellowship in infectious disease at Wake Forest University Hospital. He is board certified in both internal medicine and infectious disease. Dr. Zia’s primary interests is in improving the primary care services in the outpatient setting.
