Courtney Cyzman, BSW, JD
Courtney Cyzman earned her Bachelor’s in Social Welfare from the University of Kansas in 2012 and her juris doctorate from Washburn University School of Law in December 2017. She has served as the Deputy General Counsel for the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts since October 2019. She began her work at the board as a legal intern in 2016, her first job at the board was as an associate litigation counsel in March of 2018. Prior to that she worked for the Kansas Department for Children and Families as a social work specialist from 2013 to 2015, and from July 2012 to July 2013 at the Douglas County AIDS Project as a client care coordinator. She serves as attorney for the Board and Board members in their official capacity, defends agency orders on appeal, prosecutes unlicensed practice/corporate practice of medicine cases in district court, and provides presentations to licensees, stakeholders and medical facilities.
