Dennis Eckels, DO, FAAFP, FACOFP
Dennis L. Eckels, DO, FAAFP, FACOFP, is a member of the education committee for the POMA District VIII 36th Annual Educational Winter Seminar. Board certified in family medicine with certificates of added qualification in geriatric medicine and osteopathic manipulative medicine, he is also certified in wound care and hyperbaric medicine. Dr. Eckels is a physician with Valley Ambulatory Health Center in Seward, Pennsylvania, and director of the family medicine residency program at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. A graduate of California (Pa.) State University and a 1975 graduate of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, he completed his postgraduate training at Tri-County Hospital in Springfield, Pennsylvania. A fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, Dr. Eckels is a member of the Pennsylvania Osteopathic Family Physicians Society, the American Osteopathic Association, the American Osteopathic Academy of Addiction Medicine, the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine, and the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society.
