Dr. Courtney Martin


Dr. Courtney Martin is currently an instructor of obstetrics and gynecology at Loma Linda University Medical Center, in the department of Gynecology and Obstetrics.

 

She graduated from Western University of Health Sciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in 2011. In 2009 she was named student doctor of the year, and was Sigma Sigma Phi throughout medical school.  She went on to complete her residency at Loma Linda University Medical Center in Obstetrics and Gynecology, where she was Resident Teacher of the year for the department as named by the medical students in 2015, had the top score for the in-training examination, and won the Excellence and Laparoscopy Award as chief resident.  She is now collecting cases for her upcoming Oral Board Exam.

 

She currently practices in the faculty medical group at Loma Linda full time.  Her main interests are resident and medical student education, Preeclampsia research, and minimally invasive gynecologic surgery and pelvic pain. She currently combines osteopathic manipulation in the pelvis and vagina for pelvic pain with physical therapy, injections and surgical treatment, in both pregnant and non pregnant women. 

 

She is a member of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists and the International Society of Pelvic Pain.

 

Dr. Martin is married to her wonderful husband and college sweetheart, Scott Martin, and they have 2 sons, Cole (6) and Blake (3).  They enjoy baseball, golfing and anything outdoors together as a family.
