John Midturi, D.O.


Dr. Midturi completed his medical training at University of North Texas Health Science Center/Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine, Fort Worth. He then pursued combined training in Internal Medicine-Pediatrics, followed by an Adult Infectious Disease fellowship, all at Scott & White Healthcare. He obtained a master’s in public health degree during his fellowship through Texas A&M University, School of Rural Public Health. His interest in international healthcare and HIV led to work through Baylor College of Medicine (Baylor International Pediatrics AIDS Initiative) in Malawi, Africa, 2006-2008. He returned to Baylor Scott & White Health in 2008. He currently serves as the Director of Infectious Disease Division since 2013. He has conducted research in HIV, influenza, Clostridium difficile colitis, and antifungal agents. He is interested in preventative aspects of infectious disease and population health. He enjoys teaching, time with this family, and travel.
