Karen Edison, M.D.

Dr. Edison received her medical degree from the University of Missouri School of Medicine in Columbia, Missouri, where she also completed an internship and residency in dermatology.  Dr. Edison is currently the Phillip C. Anderson Professor and Chairman of the Department of Dermatology at University of Missouri Healthcare.  She is also the medical director of Telehealth with the Missouri Telehealth Network.  She served as a Robert Wood Johnson Health Policy Fellow and on the Majority Health Policy staff for the Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee in the United States Senate from 1999-2001.  During this time, she was highly instrumental in the legislative expansion of Medicare reimbursement for telehealth services.  Dr. Edison is a seasoned clinician with extensive experience in caring for patients at distant sites via telehealth.
