Laura Spicer, Master Detective


Ms. Spicer received a bachelor’s of science degree in criminal justice from Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis in 2003.  She then launched into a career with the Indianapolis Police Department in January of 2004. After working as a patrol officer on the near East side of Indianapolis, she became a Vice and Human Trafficking Detective in 2009.  She has investigated or assisted on many human trafficking cases throughout her career. She also has received ongoing training from multiple organizations including the Indiana Attorney General’s Office, the Indiana Trafficking Victim’s Assistance Program, The Indiana Coalition to End Sexual Assault, The National Center for Victims of Crime and others. She has become a State-Certified Instructor through the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy. She is also a Detective Training Officer and a Police Mentor. She recently achieved the rank of Master Detective.
