Lisa A. Witherite-Rieg, DO
Lisa A. Witherite-Rieg, DO, FACOFP, “POMA Fireside Chat,” is moderator of Friday afternoon’s faculty development session and a member of the education committee for POMA’s 113th Annual Clinical Assembly and Scientific Seminar. Board certified in family medicine and osteopathic manipulative medicine. Dr. Witherite-Rieg is a graduate of Gannon University in Erie, Pennsylvania, and a 1992 graduate of the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed an internship at the former Youngstown (Ohio) Osteopathic Hospital and a family medicine residency at Clarion (Pa.) Osteopathic Community Hospital, now Clarion Hospital. Prior to retiring in 2020, she was director of medical education and director of the family medicine residency program for Penn Highlands Healthcare in DuBois, Pennsylvania. Vice president of POMA, Dr. Witherite-Rieg is a board member of the POMA Foundation and secretary of POMA District 12. A fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, she is a member of the Pennsylvania Osteopathic Family Physicians Society and the American Osteopathic Association.
