Mark Sanders, DO, JD, MPH
Mark Sanders, DO is a practicing physician and attorney. He obtained his undergraduate degree from Texas Christian University, medical degree from Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine, and juris doctorate from Texas A & M School of Law, a Masters in Public Health from the University of North Texas, a Masters in Elder Law from Stetson University and his Masters in Clinical Molecular Genetics from Northern Michigan University. In addition to his degrees, he is an AOA Health Policy Fellow and Fellow of the Costin Institute. Dr. Sanders specializes in Family Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine. He sub-specializes in Geriatric Medicine, Palliative Medicine, Legal Medicine and Public Health. He is a faculty scholar of Harvard Medical School. He is currently the Associate Dean of Medical Education at Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine’s Louisiana campus in Monroe and is Medical Director for Custom Care Home Health and Hospice. He serves on the National Advisory Board for Blue Cross Blue Shield. He is a Past-President of the Texas Osteopathic Medical Association District II. In his legal career, Dr. Sanders is the Senior Partner of Sanders Law Group. Sanders Law Group has several attorneys with vast experience. It is a general law practice which includes elder law, will and estate planning, probate, advance directives, Medicaid and veteran planning, trust formation, and serious bodily injuries. Dr. Sanders is married to Anada Gunn-Sanders, JD, MPH, CFC, a forensics expert. They have three children, Sofia, Liam and Emma Grace.
