Nicholas DeFauw, DO


Dr. DeFauw is a graduate of Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine (MSUCOM) in East Lansing, MI.  He completed his family medicine residency at St. John Providence Health System in Madison Heights and Warren, MI, and his sports medicine fellowship at John Peter Smith Health System in Fort Worth and Arlington, TX.  Dr. DeFauw is a board certified in family medicine and sports medicine.  He plays an important nonsurgical role on the care team at Goshen Physician Orthopedics & Sports Medicine in Goshen, IN.  Dr. DeFauw treats patients of all ages, from young athletes and adult exercise enthusiasts to weekend warriors and others with muscle or bone injuries or pain.  From football, hockey and soccer to cycling and bull riding, Dr. DeFauw knows his way around treatment and prevention of illness and sports injuries. He appreciates opportunities to serve as a team physician or medical director for high school athletes, national sports leagues and conferences.  Dr. DeFauw also is a strong advocate of advancing the education of future leaders in sports medicine. He has served as the medical director for a sports medicine fellowship program and as a faculty member for health systems in Wisconsin and Texas.
