Rodolfo Begue, MD
Dr. Rodolfo Bégué is a Pediatrician and a specialist in Pediatric Infectious Diseases. He obtained his MD degree from Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia in Lima, Peru. He did his Pediatric training at State University of New York in Brooklyn and his Pediatric Infectious Diseases Fellowship at Brown University in Providence, RI. He has worked in Louisiana for Louisiana State University for 25 years. Dr. Bégué is currently a Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at Louisiana State University School of Medicine and is Department Head of Infectious Diseases at Children’s Hospital in New Orleans. He has been heavily involved in Academic Pediatrics with clinical service, education of Medical Students and residents, and research. Dr. Bégué has a long-standing interest in Infectious Diseases, especially community outbreaks and the role of vaccines.
