Dr. Romeo Augusto Lucas originally hails from New Jersey and moved to Maine approximately 2 years ago. He completed his B.S. in Biology at University of Dayton in Dayton, Ohio. He has a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, Illinois. After 2 years of private chiropractic practice in New Jersey, he attended University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine where he earned his Doctor of Osteopathy in 2008. He completed a rotating internship at UMDNJ-School of Osteopathic Medicine in Stratford, NJ in 2009 and his OB/GYN Residency at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, NJ in 2013. He has been in private practice and residency education since that time. Dr. Lucas practices general OB/GYN with specific interest and focus on pelvic pain syndromes. He is currently at Maine General OB/GYN in Augusta employing a multi-faceted approach to diagnose and treat complicated pelvic pain cases. His diverse and patient-specific approach incorporates a combination of hormonal, analgesic, neurologic, minimally invasive surgical and/or Osteopathic manual therapies to manage pelvic pain for patient of various age groups with a variety of etiologies. He is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, America Congress of OB/GYN, Maine Osteopathic Association and the Association of Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics.
