Tammi is originally from NJ earning a BA in Psychology from Rutgers University. That useful degree resulted in her attending paramedic school and working for several years before medical school at the University of New England in Maine. She returned to Morristown Memorial Hospital (NJ) for EM residency (the same place she worked as a paramedic) and was honored complete her training as chief resident. She did her medical toxicology fellowship at the Rocky Mountain Poison and Drug Center in Denver, CO after which she stayed doing academic and private toxicology, emergency medicine, and healthcare consulting. In 2013, she relocated to the great state of Maine to assume the medical directorship at the Northern New England Poison Center, as well as an academic EM physician at Maine Medical Center. Her interests are envenomations, substance use disorder, and tox history.
