Walter B. Flesner, DO


Walter B. Flesner, III, DO, received his DO degree from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine.  He completed his rotating internship at Southeastern Medical Center in North Miami Beach, Florida.  Dr. Flesner is board certified in Family Practice. He served as President of the FOMA from 1996-97 and has served as Doctor of the Day during the Florida Legislature each year since 1995.  He currently has serves as a FOMA Trustee, AOA Delegate, Parliamentarian and has served as Chair of the FOMA Nominating Committee and Constitution & Bylaws Committee.  Locally, Dr. Flesner has been extremely active in FOMA District Society 11 (Southwest District Society).  He has been a member since 2006, President from 2008-2010 and currently serves as Program Director for FOMA District Society 11’s Sanibel Seminar. In 2019, Dr. Flesner received the FOMA Lifetime Achievement Award. This award is given to an osteopathic physician who, during the past year, has made significant and considerable contributions no only to the osteopathic profession, but also to the community on both a local and statewide level.
